FAQs

How long does a conservatory roof replacement take?

A standard roof conversion takes just 3 days following the initial consultation. For all our projects we begin with a survey and an in-person consultation, taking time to answer all your technical and aesthetic questions.

Why should I replace my glass conservatory roof to a solid roof?

Older conservatory roofs are often made out of UPVC plastic or polycarbonate glass, which offer little to no insulation, are less durable (with a tendency to leak), and can fall in to disrepair very quickly.

Solid conservatory roof conversions use modern tiles or traditional slate which can be colour-matched to the rest of your house. Our service also includes high-quality insulation and a fully plastered and electric finished interior, so your conservatory can be used like any other room in your house, 365 days of the year.

Will switching to a solid roof cause my conservatory to look dark?

No. All conservatories have panoramic windows that allow in plenty of light even with a solid roof. We also fully-insulate and plaster the interior ceilings adding light fixtures which can help to further brighten a space. As a result, our clients have never complained about a loss of light.

However, if you desire some additional skylights, we can install triple A rated, self-cleaning glazing into your new conservatory roof, to give you the best of both worlds.

How much does a conservatory roof replacement cost?

There are many different factors that can affect the final cost, from the size of your conservatory to the roof tiles (e.g. lightweight constructed tile vs traditional slate) or the interior finishings you choose.

The best way we can advise you is through a free consultation. Simply fill out our contact form below sharing a few details of what you’re looking for or give us a call and our team will be happy to answer any questions.
